HISTORY: Originally, this was Burlingame Feed Store, then Burlingame Grocery, and Burlingame Market which was destroyed by arson fire on 9/18/2001. Market of Choice rebuilt the location and had a good run through April 14, 2019. AnyTime Fitness opened in December 2022.

HISTORY: The space for Jose's was taken out of the Burlingame Grocery when it had a butcher shop in that space. It was a little undersized, but after the fire of 2001, they negotiated expanding their space into the market space. Jose's reopened in that larger space, and some time later, the Market of Choice opened their first Portland location here.

HISTORY: This was originally a Shell gas station, and has been various things since: Martin Scott antique store, a pizza parlor, the North Winds Cafe, and Pappacino's. Most recently it was Block & Board - a custom meat counter and deli, which invested significantly in this location! But the meat counter was removed to make room for the Moonlight Grill.

HISTORY: This was originally a Union Gas Station, then became a used car dealership, and eventually a Starbucks, which closed suddenly in 2017. Sol Station Cafe struggle for a couple years and closed during the pandemic.

HISTORY: This space has had several incarnations - a Plaid Pantry with Video rental, Crane's Market & Deli, and Robbi's Family Restaurant. HISTORY: This building was constructed at the southmost end of the commercial property in (what year?). There was a red house on this location, on a bit of a hill, which was removed, and the earth excavated with the retaining wall built creating the parking area and the south wall of the building. The complex is below the level of Beth Israel Cemetery on the other side of that hedge. There's way more history here. An electric trolley passed just behind it from 1890 to 1899! ENGINE 10 451 SW Taylors Ferry Road
Station 10 was opened in 1984, replacing the old bungalow Station 10 on SW Kelly Street. It was the second new station to be built since the Modernization program of the early 1960s. It was controversial, to some extent because it was the first station to incorporate mandatory artwork into its budget. The city of Portland began a program requiring 1% of the building budget to be dedicated to public art. In the case of Station 10, a stainless steel dragon was created the would wrap around the exterior of the building. It was met with mixed reviews.
